Course Overview
Narcissistic traits are often misunderstood, with many misconceptions surrounding the nature of empathy, self-awareness, and manipulation in narcissistic individuals. This course, Understanding Narcissistic Traits, provides a comprehensive exploration of the core characteristics of Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD), examining how they present in both overt and covert ways.
By exploring research-based insights from the DSM-5 and ICD-11, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the five key traits that underpin narcissistic behaviour: grandiosity, entitlement, exploitation, motivational empathy, and impaired self-awareness. This knowledge will enable participants to recognise and understand narcissistic behaviour patterns, identify their impact in relationships, and develop strategies to protect themselves from emotional manipulation.
