Course Curriculum

You’re Not a Bad Parent – It’s the Wrong Manual
Why traditional parenting advice often fails ADHD kids, and what we need instead. We’ll explore the shame spiral so many parents fall into, how internalised narratives of “naughty” or “lazy” children set everyone up to fail, and how to begin rewriting the script.

Keeping on Task (When Everything’s a Distraction)
Strategies that actually work for helping ADHD children stay on task, including the difference between reminders and nagging, the power of external structure, and why ‘just try harder’ is the fastest way to a meltdown.

Correction Without Shame
How to guide, correct, and teach without punishing ADHD traits. We'll explore discipline that builds trust and accountability, not fear, and how to avoid unintentionally reinforcing shame.

Bedtime is Not a Calm-Down Process
Why winding down doesn’t work for the ADHD brain, and what to do instead. This module covers bedtime resistance, high-energy bursts, body-mind regulation, chaotic classical music like Rachmaninoff, and when screens can actually help.

Mornings, Transitions, and the ADHD Time Warp
Why transitions are so difficult, and how to create realistic routines that work with, not against, the ADHD brain. Includes time blindness, morning resistance, sensory issues, and emotional outbursts.

Screen Time, Dopamine, and Digital Negotiations
Screens and ADHD: how to understand the why behind the craving, what counts as ‘too much’, and how to create healthy tech relationships without shaming your child for their neurobiology.

School Systems and Advocacy
How to advocate for your child in educational systems that often pathologise ADHD traits. We’ll cover EHCPs, reasonable adjustments, sensory needs, and how to handle the dreaded “behaviour chart”.

Navigating Social Situations and Family Dynamics
How to parent confidently in front of others, including judgemental family members, birthday parties gone wrong, and well-meaning advice that misses the mark. You’ll learn how to hold your boundary and your child’s dignity at the same time.
